User Guide for New Capabilities

This release introduces two new agents: Report Corrector 1.0, which enhances report accuracy, and Prompt Insertion 1.0, enabling dynamic prompt integration for improved report generation. It also includes minor updates to the existing subagents, Report Impression and Report Recommendation, focused on performance improvements and bug fixes to enhance overall reliability and efficiency.

Report Corrector 1.0

What is Report Corrector 1.0?

Reports can contain objective errors such as spelling, punctuation, irrelevant content, medical terminology issues, or repeated labels caused by speech or dictation variations. This agent offers a precision tool for radiologists to automatically correct these errors without altering clinical intent, ensuring reports remain clear and professionally accurate.

Spelling: Fixes typographical errors or misspelled words.

Example: prostrate → prostate

Punctuation: Ensures proper formatting and readability by correcting punctuation, removing unnecessary line breaks, or case.

Example: withouthydrocephalus → without hydrocephalus

Irrelevant Content: Removes content that is clearly unrelated to the medical exam, often caused by open microphones or human errors.

Example: Can I get a burger with fries? → (empty)

Medical Terminology: Corrects incorrect or inappropriate medical terms to ensure medical accuracy.

Example: extrusion → excretion

Repeated Labels:

Removed redundant section headers that are repeated in the body of the text due to how reading physicians verbally structure their reports during dictation.

Prompt Insertion 1.0

What is Prompt Insertion 1.0?

The Prompt Insertion agent empowers users to insert targeted instructions directly into the report using double upper carets symbols (^^ your custom prompt ^^). The system processes these directives and generates tailored guidance for impressions, recommendations, formatting, or corrections.

Prompt Insertion allows five kinds of customization:
  1. Impressions: Control behavior and output of Impression agent: Users can fine-tune the behavior and output of the Impression agent by specifying preferences such as including normal findings in the impressions, adjusting the verbosity (concise or detailed), and customizing the tone or structure. These controls offer greater flexibility in tailoring impression content to meet specific reporting needs.

  1. Recommendations: Guideline Integration: Insert consensus guideline in recommendations. For example, users can prompt the system to include specific guidance such as recommendations for incidental thyroid nodules, ensuring alignment with clinical standards to the recommendations. Control Behavior and output of Recommendation agent: By adjusting verbosity (concise or detailed) and tailoring the tone or structure to suit different reporting contexts.

  1. Formatting: List Formatting: By default, list items in Impression and Recommendations are numbered. Users can customize the format by switching to bullet-points or new line items.

  1. Corrector Guidance: Control Behavior: Turning the Corrector agent on/off and providing guidance.

  1. General Questions/Prompts: Answer custom questions, either based on the report content or general radiology knowledge. Examples include: Summarize the report in four sentences, translate the report to French, define pituitary gland. If the question is not relevant, the following output is displayed: "I can only process questions or instructions relevant to radiology. Please try again." All queries categorized under General Questions will be placed in a new section within the report called <<ADDITIONAL INFORMATION>>.

Save time with Macros
Macros will save time and improve efficiency and consistency across reports. Here are some best practices when creating your macros:
  1. Avoid specifying a modality, region, or body part if you want the prompt to be applicable across all types of reports.

  1. Keep the prompt to a single sentence. If it's more than one sentence, it can disrupt formatting during speech-based report structuring.

Report Impression 1.1
