Overview 

The Vault Native Application is required to integrate third-party clinical and reporting applications with the Synthesis Health Platform. It provides the connection between the Chrome browser extension and desktop applications, enabling browser-based integration with these tools. 

Compatible with: 

• Advanced Visualization Tools (3D rendering and diagnostic imaging platforms) 

• Epic (EHR integration) 

• Powerscribe 

• Other supported 3rd-party application requiring native host messaging 

Note: Chrome Native Messaging enables the Chrome browser extension (Synthesis Health Display Manager) to communicate with the locally installed Vault Native Application and the third-party integrated tools. 

System Requirements 

Before installing, confirm the target system meets the following requirements: 

Download .NET and ASP.NET Core runtimes from Microsoft: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/10.0 

Install the Vault Native Application 

Use this procedure to install the Vault Native Application for a local user when Display Manager extension is installed from the Chrome Web Store. 

Prerequisites 

• Ensure that Display Manager is installed from the Chrome Web Store. 

• Obtain Vault-win-Setup.zip from your system administrator. 

To install the Vault Native Application:

1. Extract Vault-win-Setup.zip 

Extract Vault-win-Setup.zip on the target computer. 

2. Run the installer 

Double-click Vault-win-Setup.exe to start the installation. 

3. Complete the installation 

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. 

Notes and Best Practices 

• Never run the Vault installer as Administrator. Always double-click to launch. Vault requests elevation only for specific operations that require it.
